Since I've decided that I'm buying myself a PS3 next week, I've been thinking steadily about what my first game purchase will be. I only want one for now, since the system itself is so damn expensive. And, well, I didn't have to think too hard to come up with the one game I could live with for quite a while.

And... yeah. Work's going fine. I narrowly avoided getting a parking ticket the other day by faking them out with the wrong permit (it apparently looks enough like the right one for them not to notice?).
My boss is insane (I hope she's not reading this lol). She's seriously hyperactive and anal retentive. But that's ok. I can work under that.
I'm already done with everything I've been supposed to be doing these last few days. Just waiting to finish up some minor details.

I need to take pictures of the room that I'm staying in right now. It's right across the hall from where I'm going to be living in the fall, but you wouldn't know by looking at it. It's called the "scholar suite" or something and it's a fully furnished one bedroom apartment with a stocked kitchen and everything. They even have lamps next to the bed and couches! And a radio alarm clock! It's kind of ridiculous, actually.

The only sad thing is that my external hard drive died on me last night. I wanted to watch Code Geass and when I turned it on, the light did something funny and it told me that the drive hadn't been formatted yet. It was like... wtf... yes it has... it has 200gb worth of stuff on it.... O_o... oh shi--- *cries* I'm going to try re-formatting it and see if it will still work. If not I guess I need to invest in a new hard drive. Maybe one with an extended warranty. The huge irony of this whole thing is that I had just made backups of all my important files and music and videos because I've been getting the feeling that my primary hard drive is going to eat it in the near future. Just my luck.

And I miss my Wii. :( There's a TV in this suite I'm staying in and I totally could have brought one of my consoles. I know I said I'd leave my Wii at home because of WiiFit, but I could have at least brought my PS2 or something. I mean, I could have been playing Metal Gear! SAD!!

It's been a couple of weeks since I got off for summer break. Maybe it's time for a real update. Just maybe.
There hasn't been a whole lot happening here, aside from the smoke from the thousand-something fires in the state. We keep being told to stay indoors. Which is fine by me, because it's cooler indoors anyway.

I managed to get teh intarwebs in my room today. So I can be even lazier and sit on my bed and play! And now my Wii can get the intarwebs too. It doesn't have to feel left out anymore. :(

Still not done cleaning my room and putting all of my shit away. It's going to be an on-going project, methinks. Got shiny new shelving for my closet, though. All of my CDs and DVDs have migrated in there to save space in the rest of the room (Mom says it was starting to close in on me)...

And before I forget, I'm only really going to be in town through the end of July. I have a job down at SCU doing tech support for an international business event for the month of August. I'll be home for a couple of weeks in September, but then it's off to school again for me. This all also means no SacAnime for me this year. :( Much sadness. Oh well. There's Yaoicon shortly after to look forward to.

AAANDD Eddie Izzard is stopping in San Fransisco for one leg of his new tour, and I have every intention of getting down there to see it. Also want to get tickets to Sweeney Todd and Hairspray at the Music Circus.

And to those who know/care: I'm not living in St. Clare next year, as originally thought. I got an e-mail from housing today saying they managed to switch me to a single room in a Casa apartment. :DD Which means I have a living room and a kitchen now. I need to do a dance. ^_^

Yeah, this is bad. ^^; Why do I always get addicted to the worst things right before finals? *crying face*

There is no such thing as too much nerdiness, as this year's Fanime proves. There was epic cosplay, epic lulz, and epic JESUS. xD

I cosplayed as Seras Victoria from the Hellsing manga/OVA the whole weekend. My hair hated me intensely for it. I didn't make it to the Masquerade... because I decided to hit yaoi bingo instead. Which was super amounts of fun and insanity.

This weekend went by waaay too fast. It felt like I was hardly there at all, even though I stayed through to the end of the dance every night (except Sunday, 'cuz I went back for a friend's birthday). I haven't danced like such an idiot since last summer's Sacanime. And trust me, there was lots of stupid dancing happening there.

The protesters pretty much cemented this weekend's win factor. I just couldn't take them seriously, not with the guys from Anonymous and their constant rickrolling, and Jesus stealing the show. Nice work, guys. Nice work.

Anyhoo, my 21st birthday was yesterday - and I totally got a Wii. ^__^ It's so smashingly awesome (bad pun?). I got Super Smash Brothers Brawl and SSX Blur to go with it. The package deal also came with Cooking Mama, Showtime Boxing and Mercury Meltdown Revolution (which is supremely odd and addicting at the same time).

And my dad is criminally dangerous with a Wii-mote. I was playing him in Wii Tennis tonight, and he nearly smacked me upside the head a number of times. Needless to say I had that wrist strap tightened so that it wasn't going *anywhere*.

What else... I dunno. I've just been chillin and catching up on my anime watching this week. I'm finally caught up with Naruto: Shippuuden (you're right Meaghan, Sai is getting awesome, and I haven't even gotten to the part you talked about; and I ADORE Yamato) and Ghost Hound is still fascinating. I want to start Mushi-Shi and Genshiken this week. :3

Oh good god... the Bleach dub is PAINFUL. I actually had to turn off the TV, I couldn't watch it.
The Naruto dub is better... which says something.


And I still need to post pics from AOD. That will happen when I'm not completely brain-damaged.

I think my iPod is trying to tell me something. The last few songs have been the Finale/Reprise from Nightmare Before Christmas, the Finale from Les Mis, the Finale from Wicked, the Final Scene in Sweeney Todd, and A Final Dream by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

... and now it's playing Finland from Monty Python's Flying Circus... so much for that.

I totally got POTC3 today. I've been waiting for this flick to be on DVD for months now and it's finally here! The packaging is shiny - I haven't gotten to the actual contents of the discs yet, though. I also picked up the 3-disc collector's edition of Hot Fuzz while I was out. 'Tis *extremely* shiny

I'm such an overly-dedicated and quite possibly insane fangirl.
